H&R Block is hiring a seasonal Tax Associate to help clients with tax preparation and questions at a local tax office in Barnegat Township, NJ. No prior tax experience required; you will receive training and support from day one and work directly with clients to gather information and prepare returns.

You will meet with clients, explain tax information clearly, identify savings opportunities, and build strong relationships through teamwork and a client-first approach.

Qualifications

• Completed H&R Block Income Tax Course or equivalent
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment
• Clear communication and needs assessment
• Problem-solving and information organization
• Comfort using AI tools including Copilot and ChatGPT
• High school diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and guidance
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations
• Identify tax savings opportunities and suggest relevant products/services
• Address questions or unique situations using available resources
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities
