H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate at a local tax office. You’ll begin a career in tax and client service with training from day one, work directly with clients to gather information, prepare returns, and answer questions while building valuable skills and relationships.

This in-person role offers an hourly wage with opportunities to increase earnings as you grow tax knowledge. Availability evenings and weekends during peak periods, with potential up to 40 hours.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain information clearly.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to organize information.
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach.
