Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns at a local tax office. You will learn with support from experienced teammates, explain tax concepts clearly, and identify potential savings opportunities for clients.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills are required, with flexibility to work up to peak-season hours. No prior tax experience is needed; training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or client-facing roles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to explain complex information clearly.
• Strong problem-solving and information-organizing abilities.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted tools (Copilot, ChatGPT) and digital systems.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with guidance from teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations to clients.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and relevant products/services for clients.
• Address client questions and unique situations using available resources.
