Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to join our local tax office in person. You will meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with training and guidance from experienced teammates.

You will explain tax information clearly and propose relevant products and services while building strong client relationships. The role offers an hourly rate with opportunities to increase earnings as you grow tax knowledge.

Qualifications

Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course or equivalent training.
Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
Comfort using digital tools and systems, including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
