Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to begin a career in tax and client services with training and support from day one.

You’ll meet with clients, gather information, prepare returns, and answer questions, building strong client relationships with teamwork and a client-first approach. No prior tax experience is required, and this in-person role at a local H&R Block tax office offers an hourly pay rate with opportunities to increase earnings as tax knowledge grows.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment
• Clear communication and ability to ask questions to understand needs
• Problem-solving skills and organizing information
• Comfort using AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations
• Identify tax savings opportunities and advise on relevant products
• Address questions or unique situations with guidance and resources
