H&R Block, Inc. is hiring a seasonal Tax Associate to join a local tax office in South Carolina. No prior tax experience is required; you’ll receive training from day one, gather client information, prepare tax returns, and answer questions while building client relationships.

Work with supportive teammates to identify tax savings opportunities and explain information clearly. Availability for 15–40 hours per week, including evenings and weekends during peak season; a high school diploma or GED

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course or equivalent tax training.
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities; able to explain tax information clearly.
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based assistants such as Copilot and ChatGPT.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Collaborate with teammates to address questions and provide client-focused service.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork.
