Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office. No prior tax experience is required, as training and support are provided from day one. You will meet with clients, gather information, prepare returns, and explain tax concepts in a clear way.

You will identify savings opportunities and work with a team to build strong client relationships, contributing to office priorities with a client-first approach. Availability for peak periods is expected.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare tax returns with training and support from teammates.
