H&R Block is hiring a seasonal Tax Associate for a local office to help clients prepare returns and learn tax basics. No prior tax experience is required and training is provided.

You’ll meet with clients, gather information, and explain results while building strong relationships and client-service skills during peak season. This in-person role emphasizes teamwork and a client-first approach.

Qualifications

• Completed HR Block Income Tax Course
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment
• Strong communication and ability to explain information clearly
• Problem-solving and ability to find solutions
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT
• High school diploma / GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach
