Job summary

H&R Block in Indiana is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office. You will meet with clients to gather information, prepare returns, and answer questions with support from experienced teammates.

No prior tax experience is required, as training is provided to build tax knowledge and client-service skills. You’ll develop strong client relationships, identify potential tax savings opportunities, and collaborate with the office team to meet priorities during tax

Qualifications

Experience in a service-oriented environment.
Strong communication skills with ability to explain information clearly.
Problem-solving abilities with good information organization.
Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach.
