H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to join our local tax office. You’ll meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with training from experienced teammates. A client-first approach and teamwork help you earn a competitive hourly rate and build valuable tax knowledge.

With day-one training, you’ll explain tax concepts clearly and identify savings opportunities while supporting office priorities in a collaborative, in-person environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course is required.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment.
• Strong communication and ability to explain information clearly.
• Problem-solving skills to organize information and identify solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools including Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach.
