Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to start a career in tax and client services with training from day one. You’ll meet with clients to gather information, prepare tax returns, and explain tax concepts clearly in a local office setting.

You’ll learn to spot tax savings opportunities, work with experienced teammates, and build strong client relationships through teamwork and a client-first approach.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course (or equivalent)
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions
• Comfort using digital tools and systems, including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions with guidance
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach
