H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to join a local tax office in California. You’ll gather client information, prepare tax returns, and answer questions with training and support from day one. This role is in-person at a local H&R Block tax office.

Meet with clients, prepare returns, and identify tax savings opportunities while building strong client relationships and teamwork within the office. Training included, with potential earnings based on hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools.
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach.
