H&R Block in Rhode Island seeks a Seasonal Tax Associate to assist with client services, gather information, and prepare tax returns. You’ll receive training from day one and work directly with clients in-person at a local tax office, earning an hourly wage and opportunities to increase earnings as tax knowledge grows.

No prior tax experience required; you’ll learn through hands-on support, build strong client relationships, and contribute to team priorities while delivering accurate, timely tax

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course is required.
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach.
