Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to start a career in tax and client services with on-site training and support from day one. You’ll meet clients, gather information, and prepare returns while building valuable skills and client relationships.

No prior tax experience is required; you’ll earn a competitive hourly rate and can grow earnings as you build tax knowledge. This role is in-person at a local H&R Block tax office.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly
• Problem-solving skills, including identifying solutions and organizing information

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach
