Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is hiring a Seasonal Tax Associate to work in a local tax office and support clients with tax preparation. No previous tax experience is required, as training and guidance are provided from day one.

You will gather information, prepare returns, and answer questions while building client relationships in a collaborative, client-first environment. You’ll work closely with teammates to identify savings opportunities and explain tax information clearly, with an emphasis on accuracy

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field preferred.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment.
• Ability to explain tax information clearly and ask questions to understand needs.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in an understandable way.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products/services.
• Address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork.
