Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to join a local tax office in a client-first environment. You will meet clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with onboarding support from day one.

No prior tax experience is required as training is provided to help you grow in the role, with opportunities to increase earnings as your tax knowledge expands. In-person at a local office.

Qualifications

• Completed H&R Block Income Tax Course or equivalent tax training.
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service environment.
• Strong communication, with ability to explain information clearly and ask questions.
• Problem-solving skills, able to organize information and identify solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools including AI-based assistants like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations that clients can understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions with guidance.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork.
