H&R Block is hiring a seasonal Tax Associate to join our local tax office in person. No prior tax experience is required, as comprehensive training and day-one support are provided to help you confidently work with clients to gather information and prepare tax returns.

You will explain tax information clearly, offer recommendations, and identify opportunities for tax savings while building strong client relationships and contributing to office goals.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based tools (Copilot, ChatGPT).
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach.
