Job summary

H&R Block in Minnesota is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to begin a career in tax and client services. You will meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.

Gain tax knowledge, ask questions, and build strong client relationships while working in-person at a local H&R Block tax office. Availability for peak periods includes evenings/weekends and 15–40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the HR Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain information clearly.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to organize information.
• Comfort using digital tools including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork.
