Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Tax Advisor for a seasonal, in-person role to assist clients with tax preparation and planning. You will review each client’s situation, ensure return accuracy, and provide practical guidance that builds trust and creates value.

Supported by technology and a dedicated Client Care Specialist, you’ll contribute to a consultative client experience, staying current with tax regulations and leveraging available HR Block tools and training.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including individual and small business returns.
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Guide clients through a consultative experience and provide personalized recommendations.
• Translate complexity into clarity with client-friendly tax concepts.
• Deliver forward-looking tax planning guidance and identifying relevant H&R Block products and services.
• Ensure return accuracy and compliance with IRS regulations and H&R Block standards.
