Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare returns, interview clients, and identify tax savings opportunities in-person at a local Block office. You will leverage training and technology to deliver accurate results and build lasting client relationships.

The role emphasizes consultative service and earnings through an incentive plan. You should have relevant tax preparation experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to explain tax concepts

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including preparing individual and business returns.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financials and tax implications.
• Provide tax savings recommendations and product guidance to clients.
• Offer IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive office environment.
