H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Advisor to prepare accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses in person at a local office. You will interview clients, identify savings opportunities, and provide clear recommendations backed by comprehensive training and technology.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 2 years of tax preparation or related experience, including individual and business returns.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and life changes.
• Provide personalized recommendations and tax savings opportunities.
• Support clients with IRS notices and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment.
