Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare complex tax returns and advise clients in a local office. You will interview clients to uncover tax implications, offer personalized recommendations, and build lasting relationships with clients.

Successful candidates will leverage industry training and technology, working in a collaborative, in-person environment. The role offers an hourly rate with an incentive plan based on performance and client impact.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; continuing education per IRS/state requirements.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• CPA, EA, or similar IRS Circular 230 credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct client interviews to understand financial situations and provide recommendations.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and promote relevant H&R Block products.
• Provide IRS support and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment.
