Qualifications

• Completion of the required H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• 2+ years of tax preparation or related experience (tax, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping)
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Ability to explain tax concepts in client-friendly language
• Must complete continuing education and meet all IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations (individual and business)
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and life changes and provide personalized recommendations
• Build trusted client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities and relevant H&R Block products
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment
