Job summary

This in-person role leverages industry-leading training and technology to help clients navigate complex tax situations and uncover savings opportunities. You will build trusted relationships, deliver empathetic service, and collaborate with a team to support clients throughout the tax season.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including preparing individual and business returns.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain tax concepts in client-friendly language.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse tax situations, including individuals and businesses.
• Conduct client interviews to understand financials and tax implications; provide clear recommendations.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and applicable H&R Block products.
• Provide IRS notice support and audit guidance as needed.
