Job summary

Journey Dance Competition seeks a detail‑oriented Tabulator to oversee judging at our live dance events. You will support Judges, test scoring equipment, and ensure on‑time station readiness. You’ll document scores and critiques, and prepare marked-up paperwork for the Awards ceremony, maintaining high accuracy under pressure.

Role requires travel to event cities, weekend work, and a minimum commitment to multiple events. Paid training, travel, lodging, and meals are provided.

Qualifications

• Impeccable attention to detail.
• Proficient with Apple computers.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Excellent time management and organization.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Dance/Entertainment background is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Load‑in and load‑out of production equipment, and set up and break down your station.
• Test the scoring/critiquing equipment before the event begins.
• Ensure Judges arrive at their stations on time and provide prompt assistance.
• Monitor and document scores and critiques from all three Judges after each routine.
• Print and mark‑up paperwork for the Event Director to read on stage during awards ceremonies.
• Maintain outstanding attention to detail to prevent errors and ensure scoring integrity.
• Troubleshoot problems and attend to additional duties as needed by the Event Director.
