What A Swim Instructor Does

• Teach small group lessons for all ages and abilities (mostly infants and young children)
• Follow our proven teaching methods

Who Makes a Great Swim Instructor

• Teachers, coaches, babysitters, nannies or anyone who LOVES working with children
• Enthusiastic, outgoing, and assertive personality
• Reliable, consistent, and dependable
• Able to swim all 4 strokes (competitive swim background a plus, but not required)
• Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR or willing to become certified

Compensation: $17.00 per hour

While we teach swimming to people of all ages and abilities, most of our students are preschool and elementary-aged kids. Our instructors should like working with this age group and be good at making parents feel comfortable. Experience with children or in a child-focused job is helpful but not required if you have the right attitude. The job includes specialized training in our advanced British Swim School approach.

We also offer opportunities with our Customer Service Team, even if you're not in the pool. These roles involve communicating with parents by phone or at the pool, with a focus on making everyone feel part of the British Swim School Family as we focus on the “Survival of the Littlest.”
