Job summary

The Field School in Washington, DC seeks energetic and organized seasonal sports coaches for the Winter 2026/27 season. We hire head coaches and assistant coaches for middle (grades 6-8) and upper (grades 9-12) school teams who love working with young people and have expertise in a specific sport.

This is a part-time, in-person role with a mid–late afternoon to early evening schedule and occasional weekend duties to support tournaments. Stipends depend on experience and the scope of the role.

Qualifications

• Energetic and organized interscholastic sports coaches for middle and upper school teams.
• Experience coaching a specific sport and ability to serve as seasonal member of the athletic department.
• Strong communication skills and collaboration with coaches and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Schedule mid–late afternoon and early evening on school days; occasional weekend tournaments or playoffs.
• Provide coaching for head or assistant roles; stipend commensurate with experience and responsibilities.
• In-person coaching on campus; no remote work; duties may include travel to events.
