Job summary

Discovery Land Company’s Dune Deck Beach Club in Westhampton Beach, NY seeks a seasonal/part-time Surf Instructor for the Outdoor Pursuits Department. The role runs May–September 2027, delivering world-class surf instruction under SOPs and ensuring safety for members and guests.

Responsibilities include leading lessons, maintaining gear, and coordinating with management to provide exceptional service. Strong swimmers with CPR/First Aid are required.

Qualifications

• Extensive surfing background and ability to teach guests of all levels.
• Experience in guest service or hospitality is preferred.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification required.
• Applicant must be a strong swimmer with good judgment.
• Able to work with members and staff safely and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Deliver daily surf lessons and excursions with emphasis on safety and SOP compliance.
• Coordinate with Outdoor Pursuits manager to provide world-class service.
• Maintain equipment, perform safety checks, and keep areas clean and organized.
• Attend briefings and assist with duties requested by managers or supervisors.
• Ensure all guests have a memorable and positive experience.
