Job description

The iconic Hotel del Coronado is looking for a Seasonal Storeroom / Receiving Clerk (Purchasing) to join their team!

Join one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world. After a $400M renovation and expansion, the resort is more stunning than ever. Located on Coronado Island, just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this 28-acre property was built in 1888. It features over 750 rooms, cottages, and villas, with 65,000 sq ft of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets, including 4 restaurants, 2 bars, a food truck, marketplace, ice cream shop, and in-room dining.

  • Classification: Seasonal (May to September)
  • Shift: AM Shift - weekends and holidays availability required.
  • Pay Rate: $19.60 per hour

What will I be doing?

  • Receive and organize products in the storeroom.
  • Verify received items against purchase orders.
  • Rotate perishable stock to ensure freshness.
  • Issue and deliver products from the storeroom to departments, verifying each item against requisitions.
  • Conduct inventories as directed, ensuring all items are listed accurately.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand during shift.
  • Experience in related fields.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations.
  • Basic math and computer skills for tracking deliveries.
  • Fluent in English for completing forms, inventories, reading invoices, and communication.
  • Proficiency with office equipment like calculator, copier, fax, and phone.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
