BOTANICALS is seeking a dependable Seasonal Store Manager for our Sandy, UT location. You will lead a retail team, oversee daily operations, and ensure exceptional customer experiences, with a focus on plants, pottery, and design.

This full-time seasonal role pays $20 per hour and requires hands-on leadership during the busy season. Responsibilities include scheduling, inventory oversight, merchandising, and delivering excellent service while maintaining a positive team culture.

Responsibilities

As the Seasonal Store Manager, you’ll lead our Sandy location with energy, organization, and a customer-focused mindset. Your day-to-day will involve a mix of leadership, operational management, and hands-on retail work. Here’s what you’ll do:

• Lead and Support the Team: Train, coach, and inspire team members to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high standards.
• Oversee Store Operations: Ensure the store is organized, efficient, and welcoming while managing daily tasks.
• Manage Scheduling and Staffing: Coordinate employee schedules and staffing needs while keeping labor costs in check.
• Inventory Oversight: Monitor stock levels, coordinate ordering, and ensure merchandise is properly received, organized, and displayed.
• Deliver Excellent Customer Service: Assist customers, answer questions, and resolve concerns professionally and efficiently.
• Maintain Accountability: Uphold company policies and procedures while fostering pride and ownership among team members.
• Create a Positive Team Culture: Encourage collaboration, communication, and a supportive work environment.
• Merchandise Presentation: Ensure plants, pottery, and outdoor items are attractively displayed and well cared for.
• Deliveries: Ensure deliveries are scheduled and completed in a timely manner and to customer's satisfaction.

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a leadership role and enjoys balancing responsibilities with hands-on work. The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 1 year of retail management, supervisory, or team-lead experience (preferred).
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• A commitment to excellent customer service.
• The ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• A dependable, self-motivated work ethic.
• An interest in plants, horticulture, pottery, and design.
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds or more and safely operate a hand truck (forklift experience is a plus).
• A valid driver’s license.
• Clean driving record.

Experience with BOTANICALS’ products and design approach is a plus, but a willingness to learn and a genuine appreciation for what we do are essential.

Important: Seasonal Position

This is a full-time, seasonal role intended to support BOTANICALS – Sandy during our busy season. Applicants should understand that the position is temporary and employment may conclude when the seasonal need ends.
