Job summary

Build-A-Bear Workshop, Inc. in Oxon Hill, MD is seeking a Full Time Assistant Manager - Temp (Seasonal) at Gaylord National Harbor to support the store manager in daily operations and guest experience.

You will lead shifts, coach staff, handle scheduling, assist in hiring decisions, drive sales, ensure brand standards, manage inventory, and develop a high-performing team to deliver the Experience First culture.

Qualifications

• 2 years of store management experience in a customer-centric retail.
• High school diploma.
• Basic knowledge of POS, scheduling, HRIS and time & attendance systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Workshop Manager in scheduling and directing daily assignments.
• Lead and inspire the team during shifts, enforcing policies and standards.
• Drive sales and create a Guest experience aligned with the Experience First culture.
• Oversee inventory and merchandising, ensuring brand standards and store appearance.
• Support in hiring decisions and staff development.
