Job summary

Compass Group is hiring immediately for seasonal BARTENDER positions at Rutgers University in Piscataway, NJ. Online applications accepted only. Prior bartending experience is required; experience working in an athletic stadium environment is a plus.

Prepares and serves beverages to guests in the bar area, greets guests, handles drink orders, and ensures compliance with liquor regulations. The fixed pay rate is $16.00 per hour, and an internal employee referral bonus is available.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to liquor regulations and verifies customer age.
• Sets up bars and stocks beverages and supplies.
• Maintains garnish and perishables for quality.
• Greets guests in a courteous manner.
• Takes and processes drink orders; prepares and presents drinks.
• Checks IDs for alcohol service.
• Handles cash transactions and records charges.
• Locks up and secures products, deposits and cash.
• Keeps the work area clean and organized.
• Arranges bottles and glasses for an attractive display.
• Washes and sterilizes stemware.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
