Seasonal Sous Chef on New Hampshire Lake

The Wicked Loon is looking for a Sous Chef to join our team.

Nestled in the heart of Wolfeboro, America's Oldest Summer Resort, The Wicked Loon is a year-round upscale seafood restaurant located in a fully renovated building adjacent to the town docks on beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee. The restaurant features a brand-new kitchen, gorgeous views of the lake, and an incredible bar space. At The Wicked Loon, we live for the fresh, craft the cocktails, stay true to the brew, and honor the vine. When you join our team, you become part of our family!

We have a beautiful 7 bedroom staff house a short walk from the lake, with all the amenities a small summer lake town can offer. Come spend the summer on the lake with us.

The Wicked Loon is in search of a Sous Chef to join our growing regional hospitality group.

Start Dates: May 15-20, 2025 - Sept 15-20, 2025

Please read carefully: If you need staff housing provided:

  • Double occupancy rooms: Rent is $150 Week
  • Includes: All utilities, Wi-Fi, bedding, cooking & serving utensils, private backyard.
  • There are no onsite laundry facilities, but there is a laundromat right next door.
  • There are 2 bathrooms to share with as many as 10 housemates.
  • The house is in a residential zone:
  • No house parties.
  • No Smoking/Vaping allowed of any kind inside; there are two outside porches.
  • No loud music or late nights.
  • Nobody is allowed in the house that does not live there without prior authorization.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of recent Line Cook experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant
  • Formal culinary training preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room employees, and guests
  • Experience in inventory control and cost management preferred
