Job summary

The Salvation Army Kroc Center is seeking a Seasonal Social Services Assistant to support Christmas Assistance programs, including Angel Tree and Adopt A Family. The role runs October through December with 40 hours per week at $15.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include assisting with applications, documenting information, coordinating donations and volunteers, and maintaining confidentiality. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Social services experience preferred.
• Strong computer, communication, and organizational skills.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Spanish proficiency is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet The Salvation Army’s driving requirements.
• Successful completion of a background check.
• Ability to complete Safe From Harm and CPR training within the required timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Christmas Assistance applications.
• Review documentation and enter information accurately.
• Help coordinate Angel Tree donations and volunteers.
• Communicate warmly and professionally with clients, donors, and community partners.
• Pick up, unload, organize, and sort donated items.
• Maintain confidentiality of client and program information.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.
