Job summary

Granby Ranch is seeking a part-time seasonal Ski & Ride School Trainer to support instructor development. You will lead on-snow and classroom training, focusing on technique, teaching methods, and PSIA/AASI standards.

Responsibilities include coaching instructors, preparing them for certification, ensuring safety, and providing constructive feedback. The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a positive guest-service mindset.

Qualifications

• PSIA/AASI Level 2 certification is required.
• PSIA/AASI Children Specialist Level 1 certification is required.
• PSIA/AASI Level 3 certification is preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• 5+ years of snow sports instruction experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-snow and classroom-based training for ski and/or snowboard instructors.
• Help instructors improve skiing/snowboarding ability, technical knowledge, and teaching skills.
• Prepare instructors for PSIA/AASI certification exams with training, feedback, and guidance.
• Train instructors to recognize and adapt to students’ development and needs.
• Provide guidance on class management, lesson pacing, and student progression.
• Observe instructors and provide constructive feedback to improve performance.
• Maintain safety as a top priority during all training activities.
