Job summary

Bear Creek Mountain Resort is seeking an Associate Ski Instructor for the seasonal Snowsports program. This role focuses on delivering professional, student-centered ski lessons and fostering a safe, enjoyable guest experience.

The position supports the Snowsports team, requires reliable attendance, and emphasizes teaching, teamwork, and adherence to school and resort policies. Experience and credentials in junior instruction are preferred, with parent/guardian permissions for minors where

Qualifications

• Must be 14 years old by December 1st of the current season.
• Candidates 16 years of age and older by December 1st should apply as a Ski Instructor.
• Successfully complete Instructor Training Course offered by the school.
• Complete the PSIA/AASI Junior Instructor Certificate Program.
• Must have or be willing to obtain state-mandated child abuse and criminal history clearances.
• Parental permission will be required for any minor working in the Snowsports School.

Responsibilities

• Teach skiing in a professional, student-centered, and outcome-based experience.
• Be available for teaching duties as assigned by the Director/Supervisor.
• Be at the area on time and ready to work when scheduled.
• Work effectively and cooperatively as part of a teaching team.
• Provide practical, high value instruction that will enhance snowsports enjoyment and safety.
• Demonstrate professional conduct at all times.
• Comply with Bear Creek and Southern Management's policies and procedures.
• Give knowledgeable, friendly, prompt service.
• Increase the number of guest compliments.
