Backcountry is seeking a Ski Mounting Technician (Workshop/Back of House) in Utah to mount, adjust, and inspect ski bindings with precision, following manufacturer specs and safety standards. The role requires mechanical aptitude, keen attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a busy workshop.

You will use mounting jigs, torque wrenches, and release testers, maintain tools, and help manage inventory.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Experience as ski tech or mounting bindings preferred; mechanical background is a plus.
• Proficient with ski tech tools and ability to read mounting charts.
• Strong manual dexterity and ability to perform fine mechanical tasks.
• Attention to safety/quality procedures.
• Self-motivated and able to work without direct guest interaction.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends during peak season.

Responsabilités

• Accurately mount, calibrate, test, and release-check ski bindings according to manufacturer specs and safety standards.
• Use specialized workshop tools (e.g., mounting jigs, torque wrenches, release testers) and maintain their calibration.
• Use warehouse management and mounting software.
• Inspect skis and bindings for wear, defects, documenting work performed.
• Support inventory, care, and maintenance of workshop tools and consumables.
• Uphold cleanliness and organization of the workshop to meet safety standards.
• Collaborate with front-of-house and management for workflow efficiency.
