Job summary

Steve Madden is seeking a part-time Shoe Stylist in Tempe, AZ. You will apply selling techniques, build a client base, and contribute to in-store sales while delivering a high level of customer service.

The role requires retail experience, strong communication, and the ability to use POS systems. Flexibility to work day, evening, weekends, and holidays is essential.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of retail experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with computer/Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including day, evening, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and acknowledging every customer.
• Maintain high standards of customer service in all aspects.
• Know product information, promotions, and advertising.
• Demonstrate sales skills to achieve sales productivity.
• Assist in store operations, merchandising, and restocking as needed.
• Be flexible and perform duties outside of your role when required.

Shoe Stylist (P/T)

The Shoe Stylist is responsible for applying selling techniques to merchandise and developing a client base to build sales.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a customer-friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer.
• Maintain outstanding standards in every aspect of customer service.
• Possess an understanding of all product information, merchandise promotions, test merchandise, and advertising efforts.
• Demonstrate salesmanship skills by consistently achieving and maintaining sales productivity levels.
• Assist in various store operations, including floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, cleaning duties when necessary, and returning products to inventory as needed.
• Be flexible and occasionally perform work outside of your specific role.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of retail experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to process information or merchandise through the computer system and POS register system.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.
