Job summary

Icy Strait Point Llc seeks a Shipboard Cultural Guide to sail the full Alaska season aboard the Brilliant Lady. You will share Huna Tlingit culture, history, and stories with guests through presentations and everyday conversations.

As the resident interpreter, you will connect guests to Icy Strait Point on sailings calling there, living aboard the ship for the entire season and coordinating with the onboard team.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Tlingit culture and history.
• Excellent presentation and public-speaking skills.
• Self-directed and dependable for solo season aboard ship.
• Available for the entire season: May–Sept 2027.

Responsibilities

• Deliver scheduled cultural presentations and narration on Huna Tlingit culture.
• Be a visible cultural presence aboard, handling guest questions and informal interpretation.
• Coordinate scheduling with Virgin Voyages onboard team and support port days.
• Represent Alaska Native Voices professionally aboard the ship.
