Job summary

Pacific Seafood in South Bend is hiring a Production Worker for the Packing Room on a seasonal, full-time basis. The role supports the production team by inspecting products, packing to standards, and maintaining a safe, clean workspace.

You will operate equipment, follow safety protocols, stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work variable shifts including weekends. Prior experience with food processing equipment, forklifts, RF scanners is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with food processing equipment, sanitation, and food safety.
• Experience safely operating forklifts and powered pallet jacks.
• Experience with radio frequency handheld scanners and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Inspect product for quality, grade, and size and pack to standards.
• Maintain safe, clean work areas and monitor par levels.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to changing needs.
