Job summary

Chicago Public Schools seeks a temporary Miscellaneous Employee to assist with supervision of students and related duties to support the reopening framework for the 2026-2027 school year.

The role includes supervising in-person students, assisting school staff, helping with basic CPS technology questions, delivering supplies, contacting families, and supporting recess and lunch supervision at the North/Northwest Side site. Light physical work is required as described in the posting.

Qualifications

• Candidates are not required to live in Chicago.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students who are learning in person if classroom teacher is teaching remotely
• Assist in-person school staff with supervising students as needed
• Assist students with basic technology questions (e.g. logging onto CPS applications)
• Deliver supplies and/or equipment
• Contact parents/students
• Support with recess and/or lunch supervision
• Other non-instructional tasks
