The Spice House in Naperville, IL is seeking a Seasonal Sales Support Associate for the PEAK season from November 1, 2026 through January 3, 2027. You will help keep the store stocked, organized and running smoothly while delivering friendly, professional customer service.

Responsabilités

• Support Daily Operations: Help the store team maintain an organized, efficient and fully stocked store throughout the PEAK season.
• POS & Order Support: Accurately process customer purchases, enter orders and perform other POS functions while maintaining attention to detail and efficiency.
• Replenishment & Organization: Maintain product levels throughout the sales floor and backstock areas, restock merchandise and keep inventory organized and accessible.
• Shipment & Inventory Support: Assist with receiving, unpacking, organizing and processing shipments while maintaining accurate product placement and inventory organization.
• Opening & Closing Support: Assist with opening and closing procedures, including preparing the store for customers, restocking, cleaning and securing the store.
• Store Cleanliness & Presentation: Maintain clean, organized and visually appealing sales floor, stockroom and customer areas throughout the day.

Who We Are:

The Spice House is looking for a Seasonal Sales Support Associate to join our retail team during the holiday PEAK season. This is a hands‑on support role focused on helping the store operate efficiently during our busiest time of year. The ideal candidate is dependable, energetic, detail‑oriented and comfortable balancing operational responsibilities with customer interactions. They will help keep the store stocked, organized and running smoothly while providing friendly, professional and efficient service to every customer they encounter.

This is a seasonal position supporting our holiday PEAK season from November 1, 2026 through January 3, 2027, with the potential for continued employment based on business needs and available openings.

Responsibilities:

Store Operations & PEAK Support:

• Support Daily Operations: Help the store team maintain an organized, efficient and fully stocked store throughout the PEAK season.


• POS & Order Support: Accurately process customer purchases, enter orders and perform other POS functions while maintaining attention to detail and efficiency.

Customer Experience:

• Create a Welcoming Experience: Warmly welcome customers, remain approachable and assist with customer needs while completing operational responsibilities.


• Connect & Assist: Answer basic product and store questions, provide helpful direction and connect customers with Spice Merchants when additional product expertise or selling assistance is needed.


• Deliver Professional Service: Maintain a positive, attentive and efficient approach with every customer interaction and help ensure the store provides a consistent Spice House experience.


• Stay Customer-Focused: Recognize when customers need assistance and balance operational responsibilities with being available and attentive to the customer.

Team Support:

• Be a Team Player: Work closely with Spice Merchants and store leadership to respond to changing PEAK priorities and help keep the store operating efficiently.


• Take Initiative: Identify tasks that need attention and take action without waiting to be directed, while communicating with store leadership when priorities or customer needs require additional support.


• Maintain Standards: Follow company policies, procedures, safety standards and direction from store leadership while completing responsibilities accurately and efficiently.

Requirements

• Friendly, outgoing and approachable with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and team members.


• Self‑motivated and willing to take initiative without needing constant direction.


• Ability to learn and accurately use POS systems and other basic store technology.


• Calm, professional and adaptable when priorities change or customer needs arise.


• Previous retail, sales, hospitality, service or other customer‑facing experience preferred.


• Dependable and punctual, with a consistent record of arriving on time and working assigned shifts as scheduled.


• Must be able to commit to the required seasonal schedule and communicate schedule conflicts or availability changes in advance.


• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining accuracy, organization and attention to detail.


• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand and walk for extended periods of time, including going up and down stairs.


• Must be available to work November 1, 2026 through January 3, 2027, including weekdays during holiday weeks and weekends beginning November 7, 2026.


• Must be available for required training and onboarding November 2–6, 2026, for 2–3 shifts.


• Must be available for the store's PEAK schedule, including weekends and holiday‑season business needs. Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day are guaranteed days off.


• Passion for food and flavor is a must!
