Working under direct guidance and supervision, the Seasonal Sales Associate supports the store team on a short-term basis by consistently delivering outstanding guest service experiences in a sales culture that utilizes elements of GameStop's buy, sell, trade, and reservation business model, known as the Circle of Life. The Seasonal Sales Associate will participate in the day-to-day operations of the store during peak sales days, with a primary focus on sales, store maintenance, and customer service activities. The ideal candidate must prioritize customer satisfaction and be available to work during peak seasonal sales days.

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities

1. Provide best-in-class customer service by promptly greeting guests, assisting them with their video gaming needs, recommending additional items as appropriate, applying all selling behaviors during every transaction, and expressing gratitude to every guest for choosing GameStop.
2. Fully support the overall shopping environment, including visual and operational aspects, and actively contribute to all store sales initiatives throughout the holiday season.
3. Collaborate with the store team to ensure that all areas of the store, including restrooms, are clean, organized, and merchandised according to company guidelines.
4. Assist in stocking and restocking merchandise on shelves and fixtures, as well as transferring products from the stock room to the front of the store, ensuring that all products are well-presented, organized, and alphabetized on the selling floor.
5. Assist the store team in meeting and exceeding sales, profit, and shrinkage reduction goals.
6. Address guest questions and concerns promptly, effectively, and courteously, and escalate customer issues and complaints in a timely and professional manner to a store keyholder.
7. Support effective inventory control and loss prevention practices, including awareness of scams and adherence to safety best practices.
8. Consistently adhere to GameStop policies and procedures, including but not limited to attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities.

Qualifications

1. Must be at least 18 years of age.
2. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
3. Previous retail sales or guest service experience preferred.

8. Meet performance expectations, including attendance, professional dress, and grooming. Able to stand and move throughout the store for at least 8 hours daily.
9. Capable of bending, stooping, reaching, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 30 lbs. from ground to 4 feet height.
10. Reliability and trustworthiness.
