Job summary

Five Below is seeking a team member for our store in which you will greet customers, provide product knowledge, and promote store events. You will handle transactions and assist in achieving store goals with a friendly, can-do attitude.

Responsibilities include meeting customer needs, resolving concerns, and collaborating with the team to maintain a upbeat environment. The position is hourly with a starting pay of $11.00 per hour and may require day/evening/weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule.
• Must be comfortable with or willing to learn technology (such as computers, cash registers, hand-held and mobile devices).
• Must be a good communicator with the ability to engage with customers.
• Able to handle customer interactions politely and professionally.
• Able to use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems.
• Must learn procedural knowledge through on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers promptly: Approach and acknowledge customers immediately, providing assistance and handling multiple customers efficiently.
• Understand and meet customer needs: Assess customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, directing them to merchandise, and offering recommendations.
• Promote store events and promotions: Inform customers about current store events, promotions, and special activities to enhance their shopping experience and drive sales.
• Resolve customer concerns: Address customer issues and offer alternative solutions, aiming to turn returns into exchanges when possible.
• Communicate needs to management: Regularly inform management about merchandise restocking, service requirements, and any customer feedback in a timely manner.
• Support team and company goals: Collaborate with the team to achieve overall store and company objectives.
