Job summary

World Market in Illinois is hiring a seasonal team member to make the shopping experience fun and memorable. You’ll share passion for our products, assist customers, ring up purchases, and handle online orders with in-store pickup.

Applicants should have a can-do attitude, good communication, and willingness to lift up to 40 lbs. Retail experience is a plus but not required; minimum age 16. Pay is $15.00–$15.50 per hour with benefits for eligible seasonal staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and help customers find items.

What You’ll Do

You will be responsible for a variety of duties including customer service and making the shopping experience fun and memorable for our customer: Share your passion and knowledge for our products and help customers find the perfect “anything.” Checkout customer in store and buy online pick up in store purchases. Maintain merchandising, pricing, signing and sales floor replenishment standards. Participate in processing freight and truck unload as needed. Contribute to a safe shopping environment.

Experience & Skills You’ll Bring

A can-do attitude and commitment to contributing to a collaborative, open minded, adaptable, honest, and respectful culture. Retail experience a plus but not required. Excellent communication & time management skills. Ability to initiate a conversation. Minimum Age 16 years. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Seasonal associates are eligible for paid leave accrual upon hire. If offered regular employment at the end of the seasonal period, additional benefits are available dependent upon classification. Hourly Pay Range is $15.00-$15.50
