Job summary

TPS Group Holdings, a family of brands including The Paper Store, Uncharted, and Gifts & More, is hiring Sales Associates to deliver world-class service in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will greet customers, explore needs, explain product features, suggest add-ons, process sales at the POS, stock and merchandise to visual standards, and participate in training. Some locations offer ear piercing services following safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in specialty retail is preferred, but not required.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to multitask while remaining attentive to customers.
• Team-oriented with professional conduct and attire.
• Able to lift and mobilize up to 50 lbs with safety techniques.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers warmly and with enthusiasm.
• Explain product features and benefits to meet customer needs.
• Suggest additional items to build sales using effective techniques.
• Process transactions at the POS and maintain accurate customer data.
• Restock, stock shelves, and maintain merchandising standards.

• Prepare incoming product for the floor following visual guidelines.
• Mercandise products per company standards; select locations may offer ear piercings with proper safety.

Sales Associates report directly to the Store Team Leader and other members of management.Sales associates are responsible for providing customers with a unique shopping experience by utilizing the G.U.E.S.T. service approach. Sales Associates responsibilities also include following company guidelines when ringing up customers at the POS, processing new product, stocking shelves, recovery of the sales floor, and cleaning throughout the store.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Act as a TPS Champion by modeling the G.U.E.S.T. service approach, and consistently delivering World Class ServiceGreet and welcome every customer warmly and with enthusiasmUnderstand customer needs by asking open-ended questionsExplain product features and benefits in relation to the customers’ needs by providing in-depth product knowledgeSuggest additional items to build onto sales by utilizing effective selling techniquesThank the customer sincerely and invite them to return and shop with us againBe a TPS brand ambassadorBuild customer loyalty by being friendly, attentive and respectful of customersContribute to a positive work environment with respectful, ethical behavior and honest communication, demonstrating professionalism at all times.Professional presentation in attire, demeanor, appearance and compliance to company dress codeSupport all sales efforts and initiatives across all business channels in an effort to maximize company salesConsistently capture accurate and valid customer information at the POSMaintain awareness of all current promotions and process them correctly at the Point of SaleEnthusiastically participate in training and development as required utilizing all training resourcesPrepare incoming product for the sales floor by following instruction and guidance from supervisorsMerchandise product following company visual guidelines and visual standardsAfter comprehensive training, performing ear piercings and providing a safe, sanitary experience in accordance with state, federal and CDC guidelines.
