Job Description: Seasonal Part-Time Retail Sales Associate

Reports to: Store Operations Manager

Pay: $18 - $21 an Hour!

Location: REEF Retail - Encinitas, CA. Some local travel required.

Responsibilities:

Sales & Customer Service:

• Create an emotional connection with every customer by being a passionate and enthusiastic REEF Brand ambassador, creating a positive a memorable shopping experience
• Meet and exceed customer expectations by following the REEF customer service model
• Be aware of store and individual targets and actively work to meet and exceed them
• Educate customers on product fit, features, benefits, and sustainability initiatives
• Efficiently and accurately handle all sales transactions
• Inform customers of current promotions and opportunities
• Monitor personal sales performance against established goals and store targets
  
  
  

Store Operations:

• Maintain an appealing and easy-to-shop environment by executing visual merchandising standards
• Keep the floor organized, clean, and well stocked
• Assist with deliveries and replenish merchandise to ensure product availability
• Follow safety regulations, including proper lifting procedures
• Understand and follow REEF's inventory control procedures
• Minimize loss by maintaining sales floor awareness while serving customers
• Analyze and communicate consumer feedback and preferences to improve the overall customer experience
• Adhere to core non-negotiable standards that drive store excellence and customer satisfaction
• Support in-store events and promotions
  
  
  

Skills, Knowledge, & Required Capabilities:

• Previous retail experience required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to flourish in a team environment
• Strong commitment to upholding company standards and non-negotiables
• Goal-oriented mindset with ability to set and achieve personal sales targets
• Analytical skills to track sales performance against goals and identify growth opportunities
• Ability to quickly perform basic math and understand sales metrics
• Strong attention to detail for accurate data collection and reporting
• Basic understanding of retail analytics and consumer behavior preferred
• Adaptability to evolving business strategies that drive year-over-year growth
• Ability to thrive during high-volume seasons with increased customer traffic
• Experience or interest in strategic discount management and inventory optimization
• Skills in building customer relationships that encourage repeat business
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule that will include weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift and move boxes of product up to 50 lbs

Pay Transparency:
