Job summary

Qualifications

• 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience in a Critical Care, DOU or SDU setting.
• Completion of RN Program.
• California RN License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.

Responsibilities

• Leads the health care team, delegates tasks appropriately, and maintains accountability.
• Develops and contributes to individualized nursing care plans using the nursing process.
• Ensures patient safety and adherence to standards, and coordinates discharge planning with education for patient/family.
• Communicates effectively within the care team and with patients and families.
• Upholds regulatory requirements and Kaiser Permanente policies and procedures.
• Participates in departmental performance improvement activities and maintains professional development.
