Seasonal RN Opportunity – Flathead Valley

Logan Health Medical Center in Kalispell, MT offers a Seasonal Registered Nurse position on the OB/LDRP team. The position provides primary nursing care to antepartum, laboring, and postpartum patients and newborns in a high‑risk delivery center that cares for more than 650 babies per year.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary nursing care to antepartum, laboring, and postpartum mothers and newborns.
• Observe and assess patients, develop advanced nursing plans, and coordinate with interprofessional staff.
• Assist in operative procedures and circulate in the OR for cesarean sections with OB surgical technicians.
• Maintain accurate documentation and generate provider orders.
• Perform infection control procedures and respond to changing patient conditions.
• Educate patients and families regarding health and medical needs.
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures and maintain standards of care.
• Respond to changing workloads, prioritize care, and request assistance when appropriate.

Qualifications

• Current Montana RN license or a multi‑state compact license authorized in Montana.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years RN experience in a similar setting.
• ACLS and NRP certification within 6 months of hire.
• Stable and EFM certification within 1 year of hire.
• RQI Provider (BLS) within 7 days of hire or prior to independent patient care.
• Knowledge of nursing theory, medical terminology, HIPAA, OSHA, and equipment used in a medical office.
• Strong organizational, critical‑thinking, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn other software.

Seasonal Position Details

• Full‑time schedule for a minimum of 13 weeks.
• Night shift: 12‑hour nights.
• 15% seasonal differential pay plus additional night and weekend shift differentials.
