Job summary

Kindred Hospital Central Tampa is seeking a nurse for a Seasonal Staffing program. The role involves planning and delivering nursing care, coordinating with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team, and participating in discharge planning during a temporary 12‑week commitment.

Shifts are typically 3–12 hours per week, with potential extension. Per Diem status applies during the season and benefits may be limited. Opportunity to shift to another status based on openings and performance.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on age and condition.
• Able to organize tasks, develop action plans, set priorities and function under stress.
• Ability to maintain a good working relationship within and between departments.
• Licensure as Registered Nurse (in state).

Responsibilities

• Provide planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process.
• Develop and coordinate patient care plans with patient, family, and staff.
• Communicate changes in patient status to physicians and team members.
• Participate in discharge planning and care coordination.
